Substructure
September should see the completion of these phased works.
Superstructure
In September, the steel frame will continue south,completing the skeleton of the building and the continued decking to the upper floors.
Northern end of the upper floors including roof will be completed.
Completion of the precast beams above the swimming pool.
Envelope
Commencement of metal work, cladding and curtain wall to the external façade to the Northern end of the site.
Mechanical and Electrical
Commencement of the rain water outlets and associated pipework within the building in time for the winter months.
October 2018
October should see the completion of the steel frame and associated works as well as the upper floor slabs.
Continued progress of the external facade to North, East and West elevation to make the building weather tight.
Commencement of the internal works forming the internal walls and of the Mechanical and Electrical 1st fix. Commencement of the roof works.
Building Fact File
- There are over 800 fire protection sprinkler heads being installed throughout the building!
Community Engagement
Recycling figures and local labour resourced displayed via community engagement board.
McLaren have chosen this year to sponsor one of the 50 snails being sculptured for Snailspace Brighton for charity, this is running from September 2018 through to November 2018.
Our Project Director Matt Keefe took part in a charity bike ride.
Part of the McLaren team were also involved in the 10k South Coast run for charity supporting prostate cancer.
You Said, We Did!
Weekend noise – steel installation suspended weekend due to noise. McLaren adheres to the planning constraints.
